Good news for the farmers of the state! To bring a smile to the faces of the farmers, the Chief Minister made a great announcement. Right now, the question on every farmer’s mind is when the second installment of the Kisan Bandhu scheme will be disbursed. The Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee, has now made a big announcement regarding this. Last Thursday, from Nabanna, she mentioned the record allocation for the Kisan Bandhu scheme.
On Thursday, November 21, during a meeting at Nabanna, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced that the funds for the Kisan Bandhu scheme will be disbursed for the current Rabi season to support farmers. A total of 1 crore 9 lakh farmers will receive the money, and the government will spend a total of 2,943 crore rupees for this. Following the Chief Minister’s announcement, the money started being disbursed on November 22, and it has begun directly entering the farmers’ bank accounts.
Krishak Bandhu Second Installment Date 2024
This year, under the Kisan Bandhu scheme, the state has provided a total financial assistance of ₹5,859 crore to the farmers of Bengal. During the meeting, the Chief Minister stated, “Since 2019, Bengal’s farmers, sharecroppers, and tenant farmers have received ₹21,134 crore in assistance. This is entirely the state’s funds; there isn’t a single rupee from the Centre.”
Notably, the Kisan Bandhu scheme was launched in 2019 to provide financial assistance to farmers in Bengal. Based on the amount of land, farmers receive ₹4,000 to ₹10,000 annually. Farmers with one acre or more land receive ₹10,000, while those with less than one acre receive ₹4,000. This amount is disbursed in two installments each year. The funds for the Kharif season are provided between April and September, while the Rabi season funds are disbursed between October and March.

Krishak Bandhu 2nd installment Status Check
Last year, the installment for the Rabi season was disbursed starting in the second week of December. Moreover, this year, farmers received the Kharif season’s funds five months earlier. Now, farmers have started receiving the Kisan Bandhu funds even before December.
