Krishak Bandhu Scheme Payment Delayed: At the direction of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, payments under the Krishak Bandhu scheme started on November 22, 2024. This financial assistance is being provided for the 2024-25 Rabi season. Through this scheme, financial support will be extended to 1.09 crore farmers.
Many have already started receiving the funds. But haven’t you received your payment yet? Are you wondering when the money will be credited? Why is there such a delay in receiving the payment? To find out, read today’s report carefully.
How is the payment under the Krishak Bandhu scheme disbursed?
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee launched the Krishak Bandhu scheme in 2019 to provide financial assistance to farmers in West Bengal. Over time, the scheme has gained immense popularity. Currently, more than 1 crore farmers in the state benefit from it. Under this scheme, farmers receive financial aid twice a year, ranging from ₹4,000 to ₹10,000, depending on the amount of land they own.
The payment for the Kharif season is disbursed between April and September, while the payment for the Rabi season is given between October and March. This year, the second installment, i.e., the Rabi season payment, started being disbursed on November 22. A total of 1.09 crore farmers will benefit from this installment. The state government will spend ₹2,943 crore for this purpose. The Krishak Bandhu scheme payments are directly transferred to farmers’ bank accounts using their account numbers and IFSC codes. Many farmers have already started receiving the funds in their bank accounts.

Why is the Krishak Bandhu scheme payment delayed?
As mentioned earlier, this time, payments are being made to 1.09 crore farmers. Therefore, it is not possible to transfer the money to all farmers’ accounts in a single day; it will take some time. Sending money to 1.09 crore bank accounts in one day is impossible. The payments are processed based on the treasuries of different districts. Hence, you may need to wait a little while to receive the money. It will be credited to the farmers’ accounts within 7 to 20 days.
How can you check if the money has been credited?
When the Krishak Bandhu scheme payment is credited to your bank account, a message will be sent to your registered mobile number. Additionally, you can check if the payment has been credited by updating your passbook at the bank. Apart from these, you can also visit the official website of the Krishak Bandhu scheme and check the status to confirm if the money has been credited.
